I look at our lighting techniques through the eyes of the end user’.
LED lighting is a very beautiful and specialised field. Especially in combination with the intelligence that is integrated in our luminaires. I find it very interesting to programme lighting systems exactly to the customer’s wishes, but also to see the savings that we can achieve. That really makes customers happy. In the years to come, I would like to give this even more substance. For example, by placing even greater emphasis on the intelligence of our systems.
Our luminaires communicate wirelessly with each other and operate completely autonomously. That is, of course, already extremely good, but in the future I would like to see even more of a link to the rest of the building. Following in the footsteps of the large industrial buildings, there are enormous opportunities in the intelligent and dynamic lighting control of small(er) office buildings. The links that are needed for this are currently being further developed. For example, in combination with a user-friendly app, so that users can control the lighting even better. My role here is mainly to translate the smart solutions of our technicians into user-friendly systems for users.
I started at Bever Innovations in June 2018, when I moved to Zeeland for love. In my search for a technical position, I ended up at Bever Innovations. Initially, as a Sales Support employee within the Fuel division, I was responsible for processing orders from our foreign sales partners. I was also partly responsible for technical preparation and 3D light simulation. As a Sales Engineer, I have been focusing entirely on this technical preparation since September 2021, but for the industrial branch of our company.
Before I started at Bever Innovations, I had little knowledge of lighting techniques. I played drums for the international touring band Destine for many years, after which I worked as a Sales Consultant for Apple for three years. In this position, I managed the Apple shops-in-shops in the Saturn branches (now: MediaMarkt). I also provided regular sales and product training. So my background is mainly in the consumer market and ICT. This means that I can look at our lighting technology through the eyes of the end user. As a person, I am also very creative. I really like the fact that the creativity I was able to express for years in music can now be used at Bever Innovations. The result is very creative and smart solutions for controlling light, from which every customer can benefit.
